My Personal Statement
There is absolutely nothing ironic about me.
I have the personal convictions you'd expect when you see my image onscreen. I am what Oswald Chambers called an Iron Saint; a deeply devoted follower of Jesus Christ, our creator, God. I am a husband, a father, a man, therefore a senior leader in the Body of Christ, and the world. I take it seriously.
I have been a professional actor for over 20 years and have appeared in several movies and TV shows, including AVATAR, Close to Home, Navy NCIS, and others. I am trained in multiple acting techniques and was nominated for Best Actor at the 2013 Idyllwild Cinefest for my performance in There / Not There, and awarded LA Indies Fest 2023 Best Actor for Because of This.
I'm currently in training toward Commercial Pilot certification which is incredibly demanding, but I love it. Being an aviator is a gift for anyone who does it. I was born to fly.
I'm a veteran of the US Coast Guard, am extremely physically fit, and one of my crazy habits is that I like running when it's over 100°. I love people, and I have a great deal of hope for our country and the world.
I will not play corrupt military officers, dirty cops, pedophile park rangers, abusive fathers, or weak men.
So don't ask.
What Informs My Acting
In addition to acting, I served in the United States Coast Guard and received a commendation by The City of New Orleans for risking life and limb to protect the citizens of the city when, during a violent winter storm, our patrol boat went down in heavy seas. I was stationed at a lighthouse, Station New Canal, crewed two UTB patrol boats there, and served aboard two cutters: the WPB Cape Gull, and WPB Cape Current.
Having said all that, it has been living life itself that has most deeply informed my craft. I come from a family that has experienced great tragedy, the dark night of the soul, the inevitable resulting struggle, and the victory of redemption and rising from ashes.
There is so much good in God's world. Come, let's tell that story.
